After just being featured on J.Cole’s latest single “Crooked Smile”, TLC has been the talk of the town as of lately. The female group recently celebrated along with MTV, where Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas were honored to accept the “Legend Award,” which was only given to Michael Jackson before.
T-Boz and Chilli thanked their fans for all of their support during the past 20 years. Left Eye’s mother and sister were in attendance. “Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes is our sister. She lives on forever in this group, TLC,” said Chilli. “I want to give a shout-out to her family that came here to support us. I know she’s smiling right now. I know she has a hand in us continuing on and she’s missed, but she’s never forgotten.”
The duo performed a few of their greatest hits including “Silly Ho,” “What About Your Friends,” “Unpretty,” “No Scrubs” and much more.
TLC is currently working on a new album and the made-for-TV movie “CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story“, which is set to air on VH1 this coming November. Be sure to catch the duo, as they will be performing live at the Mixtape Festival on July 27th in Hershey, PA.
